Bios chip exchange help.

I have a asus p5w dh deluxe, i kinda corrupted bios by trying to update it, since i can easily take my bios chip out, do i just get another one and put it in? would it work then? i get a black screen and my keyboard and mouse dont light up

Try replacing the BIOS chip, then. See if solving the issue.
