Hello, i have a defective motherboard ( Cannot Boot up or Access BIOS setup) Just stuck at MOBO Brand and model after that goes BLACK screen.

It is BIOS chip problem? can i take the risk and change the BIOS chip?

Dont know what to do 🙁

reset your bios ... if you don't know where the jumper are.

then do this .. unplug your comp ... take out little battery ... take out the Ram ... wait 2 min ,,,, put back everything and you should able to get into bios... this is reset your bios to fact default. ( don't forget to touch the case to discharge static)

If Godto's answer doesn't work, you could try and replace the chip, depending on what motherboard you have. Post your Mobo brand and model, and we'll see if that is an option.

Well MOBO is Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3 REv. 1,0

Already Removed Battery and Used Jumper for CLR_CMOS and still nothing 🙁

Okay, it looks like your board has a soldered on BIOS chip. Replacing it would be tricky at best, but possible if you knew what you were doing.
You could go buy a new Z68 board. An Asus P8Z68V PRO will run you about $70 (new) on eBay. Just check the CPU support list (and since BIOS numbers) first.

Believe me Im thinking about it a LOOOOOOOT XD

Can you Give me a Cheap MOBO ($50-$60) Z version is for OC i dont do OC 😀

I think MAIN BIOS is death and the 2nd Chip i think is working but cannot work without MAin BIOS

there 2 separate bios,-- bios a and bios b there should be a switch or jumper to swap them over
get the manual and look it up also you can flash them one at a time so if on flash goes bad you still got the backup bios to fire up on that's why theres 2 if you goof one of them you still go the other to recover with

Ok ok But how i'm supposed to Flash Bios If i cannot Access to BIOS Setup or Boot up windows?

🙁

well looks like its automatic seems like my older gigabyte you could switch them as needed that now sucks cause if it did not recover from the back up I guess its a dun deal you can try to e-mail gigabyte and see if you send it in they may replace the chips for you unless something is corrupting them else where from the board

sorry man for that misinformation one bios should be protected from the other

have you tried a new battery to see if it puts some life to it ??

Yes, i have a ECS MOBO working......Tried ECS battery to Gigabyte MOBO..

Now im Using my Graphic card .. PSU and RAM IDK what's wrong 🙁

I'll try to get a Cheap MOBo ASAP :)
