Interesting, when I set the supervisor and user password on a compuer I am working on, during the boot process, I don' get prompted at all for the password. The computer just continues to boot into Win XP. Anyone know what the problem might be.?

Also, in XP even though the Password is set for the Administrator account and the "show Welcome screen" check box is checked, the computer just boots right to the desktop. I reseted the passoword several time and that doesn't work. Any ideas?

Do you have more than one account created? If you only have Administrator, it will boot right in.

You can disable the Welcome screen and fast user switching. That will bring you back to the traditional username/password prompt.

There are more than one accounts on the computer, each one with a password. If "fast user switching" and the "welcome screen" are disabled or enabled, the same thing happens. It bypasses the Administrator password and boots to the desktop.

disable your guest account, it might be logging into the Guest account since no password is probably set for it and it might be enabled for some reason.
