[SOLVED] Bios&Compatibility

I made this list and I’m wondering if these parts are compatible with eachother and it says that the mobo might have an old bios. Would I have to upgrade it and if so how

any help would be appreciated

It's possible however that motherboard can be updated without a CPU installed I'd your BIOS is not up to date.

Now a couple changes you should make. Skip the cooler. The stock cooler is more then fine and if you want something better get a better cooler like a Noctua or be quiet or a 240mm AIO.

And if you havent bought the 1050ti yet dont. In 2020 it's a old card and for a similar price you can get a more powerful 1650 Super or what I would get is a 1660 Super.

Also a 750 watt PSU is overkill. A 550 is more then enough for that system.

If im not wrong didint msi come out with a updated motherboard that supports 3rd gen ryzen. The MSI B450 Tomahawk max atx am4 motherboard.

1)Simply change your selection to the B450 Tomahawk MAX.
The difference? The MAX already supports Ryzen 3000 out of the box. The non-MAX will require you to take advantage of the USB Bios Flashback feature to update the bios.

2)Give the stock cooler a chance. Then, if you find that it gets too loud, THEN get an aftermarket cooler.

3)That 1050Ti is overpriced. Change to 1650 Super for about the same price.

4)Yikes. No need for that 750w. Save some money here and get the 550w version.

All Ryzen CPU's sold in retail boxes (excepting the 3950X) have effective coolers that come with it stock. It's possible to get an OEM cpu, which are tray parts and not sold with one, but I highly doubt a reputable retailer would be listing one. But when looking for lowest price it's possible to bump into an OEM part unawares, so if you're concerned to know you're getting a retail boxed part ask that of the retailer when you buy it.

B450 Tomahawk MAX boards are compatible out of the box with Ryzen 3000 CPU's and it's not clear what the incompatibility is in the link. It could just be alerting you to a possibility since most any other B450 motherboard does have compatibility concerns with them.
