Hello, I was upgrading my ram from 2x4 to 4x4. I put in the two new sticks my computer did not power on. I removed the new ram and tried to boot with my orginal set up, My mother reported that the BIOS had been corrupted and it was reverting to a prevous bios. It then asked me if I wanted to boot. I click "yes" and it goes to the boot screen that usually take a second to get to windows. It was stuck there for an hour so I decided it was stuck in a loop. On restart the boot screen has "Preparing Automatic Repair" there is a loading animation, but I left it for 30 minuets before concluding that it was doing nothing.

I can access the BIOS menu and Boot Select, but reseting to BIOS defaults has seemed to do nothing. I'm not sure how to trouble shoot next. I can give more information about system specfications.

Any ideas? How should I trouble shoot?

Thanks

For specific answers, you would have to ask specific questions.
Try giving some information about your system first.
In general, you can get the BIOS re-flashed and see what that does.
It does sound like it is Windows and BOOT issue, not BIOS.
