[SOLVED] BIOS does not pick up my boot device after switching on my PC

Been happening only over the last 3-4 days. I switch on my PC and the "no operating system found" screen pops up, so I go into BIOS and see that it doesn't pick up my M.2 Hikvision e1000 drive. I then take it out, plug it back in, and the PC boots fine. Happens each time my PC is off.

Even after unplugging all other drives the NVMe still does not show up in the BIOS. I've updated BIOS to latest version. Running on an MSI x370 Gaming Pro Carbon. Is it the motherboard, the drive, some software issue? No idea what to do, it obviously has the capability of reading the drive, but just doesn't do it, only after I re-plug the thing.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Are you able to go into BIOS? Configure POST to be a verbose as possible and report what all is going on during the boot process.

Try a new/fresh CMOS battery.
