Guys I am making a new build with an FX 8350 and ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0. However the MB does not support piledriver until a new bios update, can I flash without inserting the CPU?

Solution
Get the Fatal1ty then, it has more power phases than the rest and plenty of features(the extreme 9 has more).
Or the GA-990FXA-UD5 if it's cheaper.

simple answer: no

Here are some other options:
A) You could potentially remove the bios chip and have someone flash it for you, or order a bios chip preflashed(asus, badflash.com, etc. $20 or $30).
B) There is the possibility that it'll boot with the cpu and work even tho it's not "officially" supported, it'll just report the cpu name wrong on boot or something(which would be the easiest outcome, and is likely). This will allow you to update the bios.
C)Another option is to just take the board down to the local shop and have them update the bios for you (maybe $30 depending).

Hope for B then look at C and A

Haha Thats ok! Anyways, I have a choice btween Sabertooth 2.0/ASROCK Fatal1ty/ASROCK Extreme9 990fx/Gigabyte 990fx UD5

Well if you can afford the asrock 990FX extreme 9, you can be assured that it's supported out of the box, that motherboard came out recently and supports any cpu with the default bios.
It has also got 12 power phases and a lot of features, it's the flagship of asrock am3+ motherboards.

Don't worry about the BIOS now. I found an old Athlon Chip. Somehow I like the look of Fatal1ty.

Hmm. Lets leave the Extreme 9. Too costly. Then out of the three boards, Sabertooth,UD5 and Fatal1ty whichi is best. Also what bout the Biostar ta990fxe?
