Bios Flasher Utility Problem

Hi,

I have a really weird problem with my pc. wherenever I press F12 and choose any device to boot, a Bios Flasher Utility v1.00F window appears and if i press ESC, it simply reboots. I do not (and did not try) want to flash bios. It boots fine to windows directly. My MB is Biostar GF8100 M2G+. Tried to google the problem, but no luck. There does not seem to be any options in the BIOS to disable it. Any ideas how to get rid of it, as I cannot use F12 at all...

Are you sure F12 is the right key for boot device selection?
On your motherboard F12 invokes BIO flasher utility - as it is described in user manual.

Boot device selection can be on any other Fkey. It's probably written on screen, when you boot your PC.

Thanks for the such a fast answer. could it be that the boot menu i'm seeing on pressing f12 is the menu to choose the device for flashing bios and not the actual boot menu?

oh, and there's nothing like that written on the screen. only tab and delete keys

What does the TAB key do?
Just try other F-keys like - F2,F9,F10,F11. If still no luck, then try rest of them.
