BIOS Flashing Freezes

Hello. I am having an issue while trying to flash my BIOS. Since i am using Windows 10, i try to do it with Instant Flash or Internet Flash (that's what the ASRock site recommends for Win10 users), but it always freezes. On the Instant Flash it freezes while scanning for files. It always froze on the same 2GB .mp4 file. I deleted it - it froze on a .srt file, so it's not that it takes too much time to scan a big file. And the first file it scans is actually the one for the flashing, so it's not like it can't read it from the USB. On the Internet Flash it freezes while trying to connect to the internet. I can still move my mouse, but clicking on the X to close the scanning/connecting does nothing. Tried 2 USBs, both FAT32, different sizes and brands. Used both a USB3.0 and 2.0 port (two different 2.0), all on the motherboard (even tried a 2.0 on the case). Using Instant Flash by pressing F6 results in the same thing. Motherboard is ASRock H87M Pro4 (I haven't downloaded the wrong file).

Solution
Try loading bios defaults then save and exit and boot back into the bios before trying to flash, maybe something in your system is holding it up or causing it freeze

Failing that, try my other solution here: obviously don't download that bios file linked there, make sure you download the correct one for your board. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3408153/bios-update-asrock-ab350-pro4.html

The bios file you want is 2.60 labelled update under DOS here. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H87M/?cat=Download&os=Bios and then just follow my instructions in that other thread

Is the file on the root of your flashdrive? Try following this, see if it helps,

Is there a particular reason you want to update the bios. I'm reading online about this issue and there doesn't seem to be a fix for it.

Yeah, it's a whole different issue about crashing and one of the suggested fixes was updating the BIOS. Mine is from 2013. I might make another thread for the other issue I'm having but right now I'm focused on this. It's not working when it should.

I know that. It's unzipped. It's just the file. H87MP42.60 You didn't even read what i wrote. The problem is that it freezes while scanning for the file or connecting through Internet Flash.
