Hello,

I just bought the EVGA GTX 760 4GB (previously ran a GTS 460) . I have tried to install it on my machine but it keeps freezing at the BIOS and doesnt boot up. I have updated my BIOS to the newest version but that hasnt solved the issue. My PC spec is as follows

Motherboard: ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3
Processor: AMD Phenom II 3.2Ghz
Power supply: Coarsair GS800
RAM: 16Gb
HD: 2TB SATA.

Really appreciate any help you can provide as I am totally at a loss and dont know how to solve this.

Cheers,
Scott.

I had a response back from ASUS saying that the motherboard wont support the card. They say that because its a PCI-e 3.0 (despite the cards being backwards compatible) that some of their motherboards will not support these cards even if they have pci-e 2 x16 slots. So I bought myself a new MOBO, its christmas! hahah.

Cheers,
Scott.

ya! i doubted.......

So my new motherboard came and I installed everything and I get the same problem. However, the card does work on the PCI-e x4 slot which is bizarre. It doesnt work on any of the other slots. I got the Sabertooth 990FX R.20 motherboard which I know others have running PCI-e 3 cards. I am totally vexed as to why the card works great on the pci-e x4 slot with amazing performance BF4, so I know the card is working fine. I have also flashed the mobo with the latest BIOS version. Any thoughts?

Cheers
