Initially, I noticed that both the BIOS and HWINFO stated that my gpu was "@ 1.0 x1" (which, as an ignorant, I guess means that the gpu is running at pcie gen 1 x1 speeds?). After taking it out and cleaning the contacts, it now reads as "@ 1.0 x16", but still that "1.0" bothers me.
Is it normal? Or is there some setting in the bios I should change? Because if there is, I for sure can't find it.

It's not like the actual gpu permormance is particularly bad, I can play recent games at lowest settings 1080p without issue except occasional fps drops during the most intense moments, although I noticed a dip in performance since around a year ago while playing elden ring, but I discarded it as some bad windows 11 update

The motherboard is a z390 Aorus PRO Wi-fi
GPU is a MSI rtx 2060.
I also have 3 nvme drives, two on the m.2 slots and one on the third pcie slot (but I don't think that's the issue, I also tried removing the last one but nothing happened).
CPU is Intel core i7-9700K

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? Make and models of your SSD's? Which slot is the GPU seated on? Make and model of your PSU and it's age?
The bios is on the latest version (F12), the SSDs are all samsung 970 evo plus nvme, one 500Gb and two 1Tb. The gpu is in the usual first slot. The psu is a Corsair hx1000i, it's second hand so I don't know it's exact age, just that I've had it for 3 years and was at the very least close to new when the previous owner gave it back, never gave me any problems
