Bios is not working

So I sent this motherboard back because MSI said that this was the problem but I just installed everything again and I still have the same problems. When I attempt to display the bios by pressing delete the system will just display a black screen. Does anybody know why this may be? Is my motherboard DOA or is there something that I am doing incorrectly. All fans seem to be running and there are lights on the motherboard. The POST screen seems to be correct if i do nothing. I think this because it says that I need to put a disc into a boot drive. Can I do anything about this black screen as I go into the Bios? Either I get to the post screen and cannot use my keyboard or my keyboard works as I attempt to enter the Bios but all I receive is a black screen. I have tried multiple keyboards as well as monitors. All fans and lights seem to be working correctly. I have attempted to reset my Bios yet again but then my keyboard is no longer working. Is it possible that it is my CPU that is not working? I have attempted to put my copy of windows 7 into the optical drive and let it sit there but again nothing happens except a black screen. I am very confused at what is going on because all signs seem to be saying that my computer should be working but it does not.

have you tried pulling the gpu and booting from the onboard video port. most newer mb have the onboard video as the main video port. also check on the new mb the bios rev. if they sent you an older mb with an old bios it may be hanging. if it is you need an older cpu to update the mb. also try booting the system with one ram dimm. if you can get into the bios with onboard video and one ram stick change the video output from auto/onboard to peg/pci.

UEFI BIOS can only support one resolution and it's 1024X768, so it's likely that the monitor isn't compatible with the UEFI output resolution rate. Try using a different monitor.

I have thought of doing that but the input on the motherboard looks like my VGA input so there is no way for me to currently connect my monitor to my motherboard. So if i were to need to update my mb i would need to get a new cpu. ok that sounds like it could have an effect on my system. What type of cpu should i ask if anyone has. I have tried to use only one ram and i believe that both are working. Thanks for you help i really appreciate it

I have tried to use a different monitor and the monitor that i am using currently does display something when i do not press any keys. so i do not think it is the monitor but thanks for the help i really appreciate it

I'd still follow Calvin7's advice; while you may certainly be seeing everything other than BIOS, if the BIOS itself is resolution restricted this would certainly explain your problems. Judging by a quick internet search, he may very well be right on the money...

Do the easy stuff first, then worry about the rest. This is certainly easy enough to test.. Look up the model of your monitor and see if it supports 1024x768.

I see what you are saying here. If i were to connect this monitor to my laptop and change the screen resolution to 1024x768 and the monitor displays an image show that it can display the bios image

text they make vga to hdmi and hdmi cables and adaptors. also with the power off try clearing the cmos and make sure the gpu in the first video slot nearest the cpu.
