I recently swapped out my cpu and gpu and updated my BIOS to a new version and every time I flip the power switch or unplug from the wall my BIOS resets. I did switch cmos battery but that is the only thing I have tried.. thanks

Cpu: ryzen 7 5800x
Mobo: X570 aorus elite wifi
Gpu: rtx 3080 evga xc3 ultra
Ram: 32gb corsair vengeance lpx 3200 c16
Psu: 850w inwin

Also my original bios version was F11 and had to update to F30 for ryzen 5000 cpu.

I had to move my computer from it's recent spot. Which lead me to find out that it was resetting. And i went out and bout a new battery from the store so to my knowledge it was a good one. I just wasn't sure if the bios resetting anytime that would have to happen with the switch or plug was bad or not.

Im sorry i meant if it was fine or not as long as i don't unplug or flip the switch for it to keep resetting. But any other ideas to why it would be doing this??

You really should keep the pc on the power as i explained before, if that is what you mean.

Really no idea. The battery should give the power to retain the settings the bios is on, so why it resets is abit of a mystery. Might want to take it up with the support of maker of the motherboard.
