Bios not seeing my 1TB WD Hard drive

I just bought a new hard drive for my pc, i made sure it was plugged in properly, and started it up to find that its not showing in my bios. Im not much of a techy so i dont know much about the bios...Can anyone help?

I have a Toshiba 1TB hard drive

Make sure you also have power going to it. Does Windows Disk Management see it?

Im only able to plug in one drive at a time at the moment but the toshiba shows up in the bios. I even tried plugging the new drive into a different port to see if it was the port but did not work.

When you're able to connect both drives at the same time, take a look in BIOS and Disk Management then and see what you come up with.

The data cable came in yesterday and i plugged both in and it still doesnt show up in either.
