[SOLVED] BIOS only detecting one hard drive

Recently built my first computer, but the bios can only detect one of my two drives, hdd and ssd. Both work but only one will show up at a time. I can use them both individually but only one will show up when they are both hooked up.

MSI intel skylake b150 lga 1151
WD Blue 1tb hdd 6gb/s 7200 rpm
WD Blue 250gb internal ssd
Intel core i3-6100 3.7ghz
Crucial 8gb single ddr4 2133mt/s
EVGA 600w bronze psu

I now have both appearing in BIOS settings but only my ssd is shown under my storage settings in the control panel.

try different sata port?

Done that. Still recognized in bios as being there but it can not be found if I were to download something or try to look at my storage.

it is in device manager? disk management?
and if it is windows 10, check storage spaces https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12438/windows-10-storage-spaces

Under storage spaces. Don't know why it took me so long to find it.
