[SOLVED] Bios only read my 4GB of RAM

I just upgraded my pc from 4GB to 8GB.
I installed 8GB RAM but the pc only black screen. I installed the 4GB RAM pc boot up. I installed the 4GB RAM and 8GB RAM the pc boot up. But... When I opened the Bios settings, it's only 4GB of RAM. In DXDIAG there's 12GB of RAM. In task manager it's only 4GB of RAM and 8GB hardware reserved. How do I fix this?

Nah, it's 64bit

This would imply new stick is faulty or incompatible with your motherboard. It is recognized by system but cannot be read.

if you tried 8gb module only on all of your mobo ram slot, and it doesn't work, it's either the mobo/cpu dont support 8GB module or it could be the memory faulty it self or the mobo/cpu itself.

Need full part number for 8Gb stick to check it against motherboard specs.
Btw, your board specs says it allows up to 32 Gb. Unless your mobo revision is different then 6.0.

It is always better to use a kit rather then separate sticks, but it is irrelevant to your problem. Your problem is new stick does not work, having 2 of them would not achieve anything else.
