I have purchased 2 sets of 8GB DDR4 kits (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0123ZBPDA/)
These in total are 4 x 4GB DDR4 3000MHz RAM modules
I have installed all four sticks into all four DIMM slots on my motherboard
My BIOS recognises all four sticks in A_1, A_2, B_1, B_2 but only displays Total memory as 8GB (8192MB) and so does windows.
SOLVED: Update the BIOS after a CMOS clear fixed it
I am using the Asus Maximus VIII Hero motherboard (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0126R4F8W/)
With windows 10 64bit with no max memory settings enabled.
I have double checked that all RAM modules are inserted properly in all slots and I have tried clearing CMOS only to have it briefly display the full 16GB as physical memory then reboot and only shows 8GB
How can I make all 16GB of my RAM usable?
