Bios password changed to some unknown password after clearing password in BIOS setup.-Asus

I have a Asus 55vd laptop. i had a bios password and i wanted to change. i went into bios settings, selected administrator password and cleared the password by entering blank for password. but the issue is that, even after saving and rebooting it asks for bios password. worse thing is it is now accepting old password also. i'm locked out of the computer.
any help would be awesome.
