Question Bios password preventing bootip?

We have an HP 830 G6 with a bios password that we forgot, it refuses to boot to Windows. It's our 1st HP after only using Thinkpads we're much more familiar with even 1 with forgotten password but it still boots to Windows fine. So question is: what is preventing the system to just boot to Windows on this HP when my Thinkpad (T470s) boots to Windows no problem not caring about bios? Are the systems that different?

Aside from replacing the motherboard your only other option would be seeing if someone could do a manual BIOS unlock for you if you dumped the ROM for them.

You really need to contact the manufacturer HP to deal with a forgotten password.
