BIOS question

Hello all, I'm going to be getting a new CPU today and had a question about my bios. If the f3 version of my bios enables all FX am3+ CPUs and there is a f4 version of my BIOS will it include the f3 updates as we'll? I have the GB GA78 LMT USB3 mATX. Going to install FX 6300 pipestone series. Thanks in advance

yep the f4 update will include all previous updates

I've gone from like bios version 2.3 straight to 2.14 without issues on one of my boards and other less dramatic examples

you can check on the manufacteur website to see what new things the specific bios updates

Thanks for the quick response. Oh and I noticed my autocorrect on my phone put in pipestone instead of piledriver haha. Good ol' auto-correct

just update the bios with the old cpu first then reboot and reset the cmos bios to factory default and then swap the cpu. just be care full not to bend any of the cpu pins on both cpu.
