Bios registering ram at low speed

Hello, I recently put together a new build:

-Amd 2950 threadripper
-Asus rog strix x399-e
-G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM 3000 (PC4-24000) Desktop MemoryModel F4-3000C15Q-32GRK
-EVGA 1080ti

My memory advertises at 3000 yet my bios registers it at 2133. This mobo is supposed to be able to run much faster. What gives?

go to bios and turn on the ram profile
