I'm loosing my mind.

I'm trying to install Windows 11 on a new build, with a working M2.SSD. I can see it in the BIOS (Gigabyte motherboard, it shows in a few places, as a M.2 Drive).

It won't show up in the Windows Install Disk while installing Windows, or when doing a Diskpart list disk.

CMS isn't activated, I've tried in a few M2 slots (and it should work in the one it's in, that works with both PCI.E and SSD). When I go in Physical Disk Info, it's says it's on the port 0.0, the controller tip eis NVMe and the controller interface is PCIe. That being said, when I go into NVMe configuration, it says No NVME Device Found. I have a feeling the problem is related to that.

Any idea of what to do?

Solution
Try downloading the gparted iso image or a linux live image containing gparted (I usually use linux mint mate) and boot from that. Then check to see if the m.2 is listed there. It may be all that's needed is to mark the m.2 as a gpt device or if that's not enough create a new partition as ntfs, and if that's not enough have it formatted as ntfs . If gparted sees it, the windows installer should see it.

So, I finally how to deal with the problem : once I disabled Intel VMD in the BIOS, Windows 11 was able to see the SSD. Thanks all!
I was struggling with the same problem on my Asus Prime Z690-P w/ Intel and a Crucial NVMe SSD.... I tried so many different combinations of tweaked settings, including messing with the VMD controller. I noticed a change in the identification of the NVMe, but then on trying to install windows, I was prompted with an insufficient system specs requirement!

After hours of researching, I finally saw this and decided to give the VMD disable one more go.

I reset everything else to the optimized default BIOS settings and changed only the VMD from on to off. And It worked!

Thank you for this, and good luck to everyone with a new pc build!
