BIOS settings not changable

I've purchased a Intel D945GCNL from secondary market (where second hand/old products are sold). Although I checked few stuffs but it turned out that I didn't checked very well. At home I found that BIOS settings can not be changed (e.g. Boot sequence, RAM timing) and BIOS is not upgradable (i.e. failed every time showing "serial presence detect device data missing..." error). Another (minor) thing, PS/2 mouse port doesn't work. Also tried, clearing CMOS.

Other than this, no problem at all. Found no solution googling. Is there any way out?

You probably have a board with custom made locked bios. Check ebay for a retail bios chip for that model and replace it.
