[SOLVED] BIOS settings not saved even though CMOS battery is good ?

Hi guys. I have a MSI AM1I motherboard which refuses to save the bios settings. I've flashed to latest version (problem occurring before this), battery power is good (new), HW monitor 'VBAT' and battery motherboard pins(they stick out otherside of battery socket) show battery power is good. I've tried another power supply. Same issue so I've run out of options! Thanks in advance.

Is the clear Cmos jumper on/shorting the two pins? if yes, take it off.
