So I feel this is an issue that is unique to me because I have not seen any other people with a similar problem.

Whenever I boot into my BIOS I see a 480gb crucial SSD that I had temporarily connected to clone data from an older ssd to this one. This SSD is now in my Laptop, but it keeps showing up in my desktop.

I don't understand why so I was wondering if there is some way to get rid of this "ghost drive"

If it would be any help I am using a gigabyte ga-z77x-d3h

with a 256gb ssd (also from crucial)
1tb sshd
5tb external hdd

Thanks for your time!

You may need to clear the SSD out from the BIOS settings. This is not uncommon and resetting the BIOS usually solves it. You could alternatively:
1. disable the drive in the BIOS,
2. disable the BIOS quick post... this may show the BIOS post without the SSD and force it's removal from memory.
3. set the ghost drive as the first boot drive.. so the BIOS updates it's HD inventory. Still another possibility is using the port the drive was on so the BIOS switches setting to the present device.

Sorry for the long delay! but unfortunately, after trying all of the above, I still have that same SSD showing up.
