I just built a new pc. When it comes to ram speed, they say you have to enable the xmp profile in bios to get your advertised speed. I did this and have checked that it does say the profile is enabled and shows 3333mhz. Both windows and cpuz say that the ram speed is 2400mhz. I have no idea why.

Ram: Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB Kit 3333MHz DDR4 CL16 DIMM XMP
Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus z390 pro wifi
Cpu: Intel i7 8700k

Actually, it turns out I done goofed. I remembered I set the ram to 3333 before I downloaded the motherboards drivers in the first place. Simply resetting the bois to defaults and then reapplying fixed the problem. Windows and cpuz now report 3333. There is a couple newer versions of the bios, but if I have no problems I'm guessing I don't need to update.
