I just found out that I've been running on the intel i5's integrated graphics instead of my dedicated gtx 660. I tried to enter the bios but when i boot my computer my monitor doesn't receive any signals until I'm already at startup. Anyone know why my monitor keeps doing this? I need to disable the integrated graphics to put on the dedicated grahics.

Solution
If your monitor is connected to your GTX660, then that is being used and not your integrated graphics.

There should be a setting in BIOS (your motherboard manual should be able to give you the proper key press to enter BIOS without actually seeing the screen) which disables the motherboard splash screen and allows you to see the POST.

some motherboards have the ability to "fast boot" which allows a short time period for the bios background to show. occasionally, the background doesnt show and automatically starts to boot after a short black screen. its a setting in the bios

Fast boot isn't the problem. I should still be able to f2 and enter the bios but when I spam f2 and boot the monitor doesn't receive any signals and stays with a yellow light for some reason.

Oh my gooodddddd thank you soooo much!!
