BIOS thinks no changes have been made

Hi,

I'm trying to change the boot order in BIOS to boot from my USB stick before my HDD. I've checked the USB stick on another computer and it works perfectly. If I go into BIOS on my PC and I change the options around so that the boot order in every case has the USB stick as preference and try to save and exit I get a message saying that no changes have been made. If I just click save and exit anyway then naturally no changes have been made and it boots to the hard drive like normal.

Does anyone know how I could possibly fix this or why it isn't working?

I'm running a Sabertooth Z87 with BIOS version 1504.

Thanks for the help in advance! :)

While I don't know the Asus motherbd that well, you do have another option to boot from USB.

During Post when it says to hit Del to enter the bios, there is also another option, something similar to 'Boot Options'. It's usually an F-key. (F11 on my MSI.) After you press the F-key you will be presented with your available boot options.

This has been my go-to method for installing an OS for many years and leaving the HDD as the first boot option speeds up boot time a little bit.
