Bios Update Compatibility For Phenom II X6 1055T

Im thinking of buying a phenom II x6 1055t as an upgrade from my old ass athlon x2 5400+ will it be compatible with f11 bios revison form a GA-MA785GM-US2H or do i have to upgrade to F12A revision because new revision update its just an audio bug fix please help im afraid of doing a bios update i already did a flash update for my video card XFX Radeon 6790 and had to go through the painfull rma service. does F11 support it or do i have to update it ?

I tried to look it up for you at the Gigabyte site for that board. http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3447#
But their "CPU Support" link is broke. If they get it fixed, you should be able to answer your question by the CPU chart they provide.

It might just work out of the box. Most of the time, the bios update is just to update the cpu label that shows up on the bios screen and any related config options.

Yes, it says the BIOS needs to be updated to F12a. You can try without updating, of course. But why?
