[SOLVED] BIOS update conundrum

Hello there. I'm finally posting after contemplating this question for so long. I own a MSI GT70 2PC. After upgrading the GPU to a 970M and the RAM to 24 GB, SCM now displays the model as GT70 2QD. This is where my question lies: should I update the BIOS to the version made for the 2QD?

You better ask in the MSI forums or MSI support , because if you flash the wrong one it will render your laptop useless.

Yeah, that's what I was worried about. In the past MSI support has been less than helpful, though I guess I'll have to try again. Thanks for the quick advice and suggestion!
