bios update cpu support list

Hi Guys How yall doin IM L.tee im new to the forum so apologies for incorrect post assuming it is.

I recently bought a core 2 quad Q8600 cpu only to find out its not supported by motherboard.
I Discovered the board ( Gigabyte 945GCM-S2C) supports all other varients of core 2 quad cpus just not the one i bought.

I would like to know if a bios update adds support for a cpu.

My System Specs:
Core 2 duo E5800
Memory: 4gb DDR2 800mhz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 210
Mobo: Gigabyte 945GCM-S2C

BTW Im South African just tryn to trick out my mobo cnt afford the new stuff just yet upgrade works out cheaper.

I suggest trying to flash it with the F5 one...DO NOT use the beta BIOS(beta and BIOS do not sound good together.

Be careful when flashing your BIOS...it can ruin your MoBo if not done properly.
