Hello, I need to update BIOS and there are versions up to F11 that says: optimized for 9th gen processors. Should i get F11 version if i only have i7 8700 which is 8th gen? thanks
Unless you need to update BIOS for compatibility, or to fix a specific issue that you're experiencing, it's really not necessary. Doesn't seem to be the case for you. If you really want to update anyway, just flash the latest BIOS.
Which version are you on at the moment? The latter updates help with system stability and if you do decide to drop in a 9000 series Intel processor in your board. I would advise that you update the BIOS in a gradual manner, working your way up to the latest found off the support site. Please don't use any third party app's(or even Gigabyte's @BIOS utility), always manually update the BIOS after verifying it's meant for your board.
list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
