[SOLVED] bios update for black screen no post messages can not enter bios ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3

hi all,

been having trouble with my motherboard ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3, had pc bios repair 12 months ago and suspect the issue has returned. At the moment there isn’t any error bleeps when switching on, fans running and motherboard has power but black screen no boot messages at all. I think i might have a corrupt bios or chip. I would like to try to flash bios to see if it helps, does anyone know if this is possible in the situation i am in? I have tried other things like changing psu, cpu, cables, memory and so on. Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi,
You can try ordering a BIOS chip on ebay and replacing the board's one. It's not difficult.
