HI,
I am about to buy Lenovo E41-55 laptop. Searching for drivers and BIOS files for this model on official Lenovo site indicates that BIOS update file (exe) is only available for Windows 10. THere are no drivers or BIOS update file listed when I choose Windows 11.
The laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 11.
Does it mean it's a safe bet to wipe Win 11, install Windows 10 and then run the BIOS update exe meant for Windows 10?
Since it's EXE why would it not work from Win 11 if so?
Thanks.

Hi,

You don't need to wipe win 11 just to update the bios. That would be a bit unfair really, sell you a laptop with an OS you can't update BIOS on...

The bios update should work on windows 11. The windows 10 drivers would work on 11, the only reason you have any win 11 drivers now is because Lenovo have updated 4 of their utilities, rest of the drivers are still win 10.

What I suggest is, when you get Laptop, visit that site you showed and run Automatic update function and it will decide what you need. Much easier than guessing. Bios is only last month so good chance you do need it.
