Question BIOS update for my AM3 motherboard ?

Hello! I have a Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 rev 1.5
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-MA770T-UD3-rev-15
and I want to upgrade to a AM3+ CPU like an FX-8350 or any FX cpu.
This motherboard supports AM3+ cpus only on rev 3.1. Is there any way to make my motherboard support AM3+ cpus?

My current setup is:
MBD: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 rev 1.5
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
RAM: 16 GB DDR3 1600mhz
GPU: Radeon HD 5870 1 GB

Looks like only one FX CPU is listed for that revision.

Might just be time to update the entire system.

I have seen the list but the FX-4130 is not supported? Like it is there but the "Since BIOS Version" says N/A... I guess I can't upgrade to any FX cpus then 🙁

I saw that as well. Since listed, it may work.

If you have one of these CPUs, you can certainly try it.

Even if it works, the performance gain, if any, will be minimal.

If it says N/A then it's not supported. Many AM3 boards had to have (FX) in the revision name in order to have compatibility.

You could try a 4300/8300 series cpu that is 95w also but I'm guessing this am3 board won't work with anything higher than the Thuban 1100T
