Question BIOS Update interrupted, looking for advice

When updating the BIOS to my ASUS B450-F gaming mobo, power cut out and my system is now not even booting to the bios screen. The Q-LEDS are showing red and nothing is running. Is anyone able to advise on the next steps I should take.

You've bricked your motherboard. Only way to fix it is to replace it, or send it off to Asus for repair.

When did you get this motherboard?
If you got it early enough, it should be covered by warranty, if not, they should still fix your motherboard for free.

It's been about 5 years ago, but I bricked an Asus board doing a bios upgrade(following their instructions). They covered it under warranty, but it to about 3 weeks to get it fixed.

Ok, it was bought in July time and have only just started to build it. So irritating that this has happened.

if yout bootblock still works, u may able to recover it
try this:

1) get usb stick and create 4GB parition (4096MB) and format it as fat32

2) download bios https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/..._GAMING/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING-ASUS-2801.zip

3) extract it to that usb drive

4) rename extracted file to: RX450FGM.CAP

5) open your case and disconnect everything, leave connected to mainboard only: PSU, GPU, CPU, RAM, PC speaker, Monitor, Keyboard
everything else (printer, external or internal drives, etc etc) has to be disconnected

6) insert your USB drive with BIOS file to top left corner USB port (sometimes its called mouse port), do not connect it to front panel
hint: if your usb stick has led, it will light up (get power)

7) power on PC while holding ctrl + home keys

from this point it will either work or not
