Bios Update making PC act strange?

So, I updated my Bios for my Asus p8z77-v lk Motherboard, and I'm really confused, it was acting weird for a little bit on start up, and I've been having strange issue with my Windows and stuff, so I figured a all around update would be good, just to be sure everything is fresh and stable. So I updated my BIOS, finished 100% and now whenever I start up my PC, it's either black screen with no post, or it acts like windows is loading, and never goes anywhere. Now I turn on the PC off and on, and back on, and off and so forth and so on, and FINALLY started to work again.

I guess I'll just keep it on for now, until I get a message back from someone about what might be wrong, try it and see if I can do the good ol' turn off and on again until it maybe works. Thanks for the help if anyone can.

Try unplugging all but the essential usb items - could that that an older usb peripheral is upsetting it.

I'll unplug all but my keyboard and mouse, and let you know. Here is hoping!

Alright, it turned back on right away. Let me see about shutting it down and draining it. That's normally when the issue arises. But I unplugged the USB I used to update and my PS3 controller. Let us see.

That seems to be the issue. Thanks. That was odd, I haven't had that happen with a PC in a really long time, didn't even cross my mind. I wonder why it's happening all of a sudden now lol I guess either the USB or the PS3 controller messes with something. My PC did however yell at me, that no Keyboard was detected and then was like, Never mind. lol Thanks though.

Yeah, it began happening to me quite out of the blue. I think I'd changed which port an old printer was plugged into, and it just upset it - but only on a cold boot.
