BIOS update needed or not?

I'm planning on buying an AMD 7850k and Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H pretty soon since Microcenter has a good bundle with them at the moment. But pcpartpicker says it may need a BIOS update, and my concern is that if I'm going to need to get it running before I can update the BIOS then I'm screwed.

So I guess my question is- will I need to update the BIOS, and if I do will I need a compatible cpu to do so?

The bios that enabled support for the 7850k came out over two years ago, you should be fine.
