Lenovo update utility suggested a BIOS update. The update seemed to go fine but when finished the computer would not boot. It cannot find media. There are some blue blurbs and retries but ultimately the computer no longer has a bios.

Solution
I seem to have solved my issue. I am not exactly sure but being on a laptop I held the Fn key and pressed F2 repeatedly and it entered the bios. Once there I changed the boot from UEFI to legacy support and enabled BIOS back flash. upon saving changes and rebooting, the computer booted into windows.
