Bios update , please help!!

Hey guys , i have a h61m-p21(B3) Motherboard and i'm trying to m-flash to a newer version beacouse i just bought an ivy bridge processor . When it restart's it says "Operating system not found " And i don't get any update , it's still the same BIOS version . Now im formating my USB stick , my question is What am I doing wrong and why is this not working , i'm afraid to not kill my motherboard.

So you are flashing it with a new BIOS and it goes through the process? Have you entered BIOS and set the correct boot drive and SATA mode?

No it dosen't go through the process , it just says "Operating system not found , please remove any drives etc..."
