[SOLVED] Bios Update Question

Hi All,
I've never updated the bios for my asus prime z270-a mobo but I've been thinking i would like to give it a go as there are several newer version available, i'm currently on 0960. When i went to the asus download page i saw there was something called an ME Update tool that was released in 2017 to address potential security issues. Is that something i should download prior to updating the bios? or would the newest version 1302 contain all the updates I need? Thanks,

That is probably for the spectre, and zombieload, patches. Not really a necessary update, assuming this is a gaming rig.

Thanks for the reply, My system is primarily a gaming rig. I just wasn't sure what that ME update tool was and if it is tied into the bios updates at all.
