I have an ASRock AB350 Pro4 and I am considering either updating the bios or getting a new motherboard so I can upgrade the CPU. I would like to spend as little money as possible however the instructions for updating the bios sounds a bit tricky. It says to install an AMD all in one VGA driver? I mean I don't use an AMD card for one thing and I don't know how that would affect the bios update but I don't want to screw things up either. Has anyone got any insight on updating one of these? Here is a link to the bios page of that board for reference.

With that processor you don't need All in one driver, but separate drivers for chipset and for GPU. You can find latest...

You ARE using an AMD product. It is an AMD socket motherboard after all. The name of the download is AMD All In One WITH VGA driver. That means the driver package includes drivers for the AMD chipset on the motherboard itself as well as VGA drivers on the off chance you're using and AMD APU.

Go to the link you provided and click on the Download button. The first entry in the list is what you're looking for. Make sure you run this install package BEFORE attempting to update the motherboard BIOS.

Yes I knew all that already. No need to be rude about it, I have just never updated a bios that required any sort of driver installation and thought I would see if anyone had updated one of these boards or one like it and had any advice to offer. Sorry I asked.

Updating drivers is not a condition to update BIOS but for OS to work properly after BIOS is updated/flashed.

Thanks a lot, I got it updated and ready for the 3900X I'm gonna drop in it along with the Gskill Trident memory I just ordered.
