I recently rebuilt my computer with a new mobo and CPU, but it won't post. I've ran every troubleshooting trick from reseating ram, reseating gpu, reseating CPU, removing one one stick of ram, removing goin and using mono's HDMI. No post. I've been searching forums for a fix but nothing. I went to PC part picker to see if it's a compatability issue and it did say I may need to do a bios update with an older lga1151 processor to do the update, but my old CPU is for a different socket. Talked to a couple people from work and they mentioned you can update BIOS from a flash drive, typically, or I might have a bad CPU or mobo. I didnt think it'd be possible to do an update from a flash drive since the PC won't post at all, but if there's a way, what should I be looking to do? Or should I just spend the $40 on eBay to get a Celeron CPU just do do this BIOS update?
