Hi, I recently bought a FX 6300 with an ASRock 970DE3/U3S3, but it says that the FX 6300 is supported after update 1.6. My question is: Can I update the BIOS with this CPU? I got the RAM and the GPU. Please answer, and if i can't, please tell me what are the possibilities.

If you were able to track down one of the supported CPUs in a friend or relatives computer you could do that. I don't see this board supporting any flash features without a CPU, though some do.

Beyond that, about your only option is to RMA it with ASRock and ask them to flash the BIOS for you. Or completely return it and get a new board.

Do you have the mothrboard? On the BIOS chip there's a sticker with the board's BIOS version.
If the CPU is not supported, there are some chances to let you access the BIOS and update it, but... less probable.
Fortunately, ASRock, as ASUS use BIOS chips on socket and they can be easily replaced. You can order one flashed with the latest version from ebay.
