[SOLVED] BIOS update with new CPU

Hello. Could I update a B450M rev 1.x motherboard with, i assume, a lower Bios version than F62 ( needed for my cpu) with my new spec: Ryzen 5 5600? It doesn't have Q-Flash Plus and I'm wondering if i can still boot the BIOS in order to update it from there.

No, you will need a compatible CPU in order to update.

Is there a way for me to check the default version of BIOS? At least to know how much lower to go with the other cpu.

Check the motherboard manufacturer website. It'll list CPU compatibility.

Not yet, but i found a friend with 2400G that needs a F1 BIOS AM4. I will plug that then update BIOS to F62 then plug my CPU. I'm sure that solves it. Thank you,
