Question bios update within windows 10 ? how

hi I have heard there is a way to update your pc bios from your windows.
so you dont have to flash your bios etc...

anyone know a thing about this and how to do it ?

i have a hp mobo and want to update it so my GPu can work with it...

You still flash the bios, but using a windows program to do it, it's the riskiest way of doing it (but not as bad as it used to be).

Fairly certain that is a motherboard based program (Windows program designed specifically for that motherboard). You're not going to find anything like that for a pre-built HP unless HP provides it.

Pre-builts don't provide the windows environment as a way of updating a BIOS as it is the highest risk for corruption.

A followup question (that I should have asked earlier), what are you trying to achieve, and on what are trying to achieve it? What mobo, what GPU, what happens now when you try it? If you are trying to make a mobo without UEFI work with a modern GPU that cannot manage without UEFI then you are probably out of luck as UEFI is not a bios update, it's a different (better) way of having bios-like functionality.

hi guys I think my question was to vague. sorry about that. I have fixed my problem now
so it was a hp mobo and I changed it in to a gaming pc but the gpu wasn't working with it. so my brother downloaded the bios and opened it once downloaded and that sorted out my problem. thank you

bios update has gone one step beyond . now it flashed directly from the internet .
