I was going to buy the following motherboard: Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2 ATX AM4
And the following CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor
PcPartPicker and the motherboard’s website says that I would need to update my bios on that motherboard to get the motherboard to support that CPU. One of my questions is, what is the success rate for updating BIOS without bricking my motherboard ?
Also another question I had was if I could use the same flash drive I used to update my bios to install Windows onto the PC I was going to build as well, if so which one should I do first, should I update bios first or should I install windows onto the PC first ?
And the final question I had was how much storage should the flash drive I should use to do both have if I only needed one flash drive, if I needed two, how much storage should the both of them have?
Thank you guys so much, this is a great help because I am building my first PC and these are some of the questions I had.
Edit: what OS should I use do you guys think?
