Hello,
I recently got all my PC Parts:
Motherboard: Msi h110m gaming
CPU: Pentium G4560
GPU:Gigabyte Gtx 1050 Ti OC
RAM: Kingston Fury HyperX 2x4GB 2133 Mhz
PSU: Evga 600w
1TB Ram

So here is the problem: I knew i would have to update the mobo's bios so a friend of mine gave me his i3-6100 and i set up a quick test bench and got the parts together and i turned the pc on. It loaded, i got into the bios menu and put a usb flash drive with the update in it but when i choose the flash in order to select the update but it said that the file wasn't found and was supposed to be in the root folder (i can't recall the exact message) but i had clearly put the file in there (i tried unzipping it before use - same, tried different version - same again and there wasn't anything else in the flash drive..)

So yeah, it might be an obvious mistake but it's my first pc build and yea.. P.S i also read the manual it just said to do the thing that i, well, did..

Thanks in advance

Not sure if I read this completely right, a little confusing, download the bios file again, its a zip file, extract it to the destop, it will extract to a new folder that contains 2 files, a XXXXXXX.590 file and a text file.

Format the USB stick to FAT32, this stick must remain in the computer, it cant be inserted after you enter the bios, now copy just the 590 file out of the folder on your desktop onto the USB stick, not in any folders at all, so all you have sitting on the USB stick is that 590 file, its now on the root of the USB stick.

Now reboot to the bios with the stick still inserted, its advised to use one of the motherboard USB ports on the back, not the front panel USB ports, launch M-Flash and try again.

Solution
Hello,
First of all thanks for the quick response! Unfortunately i am not at home right now but i will do as you said as soon as i can. Also, sorry if i did not explain things clear enough, the thing that popped up was "There isnt any BIOS file in this usb key (root folder ), please copy the BIOS file to shis USB key (root folder )" when i tried with only zipped/unzipped the downloaded file i don't know why i didn't try the files inside.. Anyways thanks again, i will update once i do it (which sadly is going to be about a week from now)
