Hey!

To i tried tu update the BIOS on a friends P4B266 motherbord with the
asusupdate program.

I selected the version 1010 update, the erase and programming went fine but
the verify failed.
I know! I did what i should not have done, I restarted the Pc and it
couldn't POST.

Is there any way to restore the BIOS on the P4B266?

And if not, can i with an eeprom programmer reprogram the chip using the BIN
file in the BIOS update downloaded from Asus?

Hi

Asus has Crash free bios facility, i dont know weather it has for intel
or not, you flash you bios directly from the CD that comes with MOBO.

second option is try to clear on board CMOS and BIOS settings and see if
it reboots with POST
