BIOS updating

Unfortunitly I've only found fragmented answers on how to due this. I'm running Windows XP on on a K7S5A mobo (ECS/American Megetrends?). I've got the aminf342.exe. but can't find the .rom file on the official site for version 3.0B. Also I've heard that the boot disk the XP creates may not work as needed for this. Any help or advice on where to go would be appreciated since I really don't want to screw this up.

Ya, i had another look and found it :roll: Now the only thing left is making sure I have a safe boot disk. One FAQ i found recommended bootdisk.com which has a special exe for creating boot disk for flashes. Anybody have experience w/ this so i know for certain it's trustworthy.

EDIT: oh ya, I also need to find a brand new diskette. Do they still sell those? :lol:

I've used the DRDOS bootdisk from bootdisk.com no problem.
You may also be able to find a Windows based flash utility for your board.
